We have been having a great time down here in room 18! Lots of happenings and excitement. We recently celebrated the 100th day of school! We started our day off by, of course, counting to 100 and changing our calendar to the 100th day of school. The kindergartners made really fun crowns that said "I made it 100 days in kindergarten!" Later in the day we made a picture with cutouts of 100. They each received a 1, 0, and 0 and then they moved the numbers around to make a picture. Below are a couple of examples.
Monday will mark our 108th day of school. I have been busy assessing the kiddos, getting ready for conferences. They have grown SO MUCH from the fall and that is one of my favorite parts about teaching kindergarten. It is so amazing to see how much they change and when they walk out of this room in May, they are truly big kids (tear). BUT, that's a long way away!
Please take some time to explore the math websites that I have listed below and also let me know if you know some great ones too! abcya.com is a fantastic website and it has loads of math and reading games. Enjoy!
